Meet Our Philanthropy Chair!

The Theta Xi chapter of Delta Delta Delta supports many philanthropic causes throughout the year. While our first and foremost efforts are focused on St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, our national philanthropy, we also take part in many fraternity and community sponsored events, as well.  
 
Tri Delta at USC supports St. Jude in various ways. Our largest fundraising event, Tri Delta's Kick it for Cancer, takes place each fall. Fraternities and other campus organizations register their teams to go head to head in a week-long competition, with events such as a fashion show and our very own Delta Diner, all culminating in our annual kickball tournament.  
 
Aside from our week-long fall philanthropic event, Tri Delta also hosts two other fundraisers throughout the year. Each spring, we hold our annual letter-writing campaign to raise money for St. Jude. With the help of our donors, our chapter raised over $23,000 in the first six months of 2009 alone! In the fall, Delta Delta Delta also hosts a Casino Night with the help of the boys of Sigma Nu. It has been a huge success in the past. This year, the event will be held on Friday, October 23rd during Trojan Parent's Weekend. 
 
Our other involvement includes Bunny Buddies, an annual event with Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. This Easter celebration involves inviting local elementary students over to our sorority house for egg hunts, decorating, and other fun and games.   We are also proud to announce a new philanthropic relationship with the Downtown Women’s Center of Los Angeles.  Tri Delta received the Philanthropy Award at this year’s Greek Gala.
