Kick it for Cancer is our annual week-long
competition between campus fraternities and organizations that culminates
in our kickball tournament benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research
Hospital. Each year, fraternities and other campus organizations
compete in events, such as our Delta Fashion Show or Tri Delta Door
Chant. We also host our very own Delta Diner, serving delicious
pancakes made by our very own Mom Pat to the Row. Congratulations
to AEPi for defeating the competition for this year’s Kick it for
Cancer title!
Sincerely Yours is our annual letter-writing
campaign that also benefits St. Jude. At this event, members are
able to learn more about the commitment between St. Jude and Tri Delta,
as well as meet St. Jude patients. Thanks to all of our generous
donors, this event allows our chapter to continue to be one of the top
raising Tri Delta chapters for St. Jude.
While all of our chapter members are encouraged to participate in various philanthropic events throughout the year, our chapter as a whole also supports a variety of different community organizations. This year, we continued hosting our annual “Bunny Buddies” event. At this event, kindergarten and first grade students from 32nd Street School are invited to our sorority house to play games, take part in an Easter egg hunt, and other activities.
Additionally, our chapter has participated and contributed to many other sorority and fraternity-sponsored events. This year, we were able to donate services, participation, and money to the LA Children’s Hospital, the Los Angeles Fire Department, as well as A Place Called Home, to name a few. This year, our members also spent time serving meals to the women at the Downtown Women’s Center, a shelter providing apartments, meals, and services to low-income women throughout the year.
